Group Case Session
Live classroom teaching case for medical students. A group of students collaboratively interviews one of the available patients — the supervisor picks the case at session start. Three untimed interview phases interleaved with three discussion phases that use slide-by-slide reveals for differential diagnosis, treatment planning, and final formulation. Supervisor-paced throughout: discussions end when the conversation is complete, not when a timer runs out.

- Lars, 45 — 45-year-old IT project manager presenting with chest tightness, racing heart, and multiple ER visits. Drinks to manage anxiety. Prior anxiety diagnosis and SSRI treatment in his 20s. Father of two, worried about not being present enough.
- Samira, 23 — 23-year-old law student at Lunds universitet, brought by her mother to the psych ER. Pressured speech, 3h sleep, grandiose plans, distributing candy to other patients. Prescribed venlafaxine 150mg for a depressive episode 1 year ago — deemed in remission 6 weeks ago. This is almost certainly an antidepressant-induced manic/hypomanic switch.
- Svea, 62 — 62-year-old undersköterska (night shift) from Skellefteå, comes in with her husband Leif after months of worsening mood, sleep, and energy. MADRS-M 32. Background: maternal suicide at age 5, son Stefan died at 16 in a car accident, prior depressive episode 2004–2005 treated with a tricyclic. Quiet, Norrländsk, minimising — the kind of patient students can misread as 'doing fine' if they mistake politeness for engagement.
